Dr. Ahmed is the President and owner of the corporation. He is a graduate of Vanderbilt University, Nashville, TN. He received his Ph.D. degree in Civil Engineering, specialized in the Structural Engineering in 1989.

He also has a M.S. degree and a B.S. degree in Civil Engineering. He is currently, a Registered Professional Engineer in the States of Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Tennessee, Kentucky, Texas, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, Ohio, Virginia, Missouri, Kansas and California. He is NISD (National Institute of Steel Detailing) certified Class-I, Structural & Misc. Steel, Senior Detailer, and also NISD Certified Bridge Detailer. Dr. Ahmed has over twenty years of experience in the design of steel structures, reinforced concrete and timber structures, and
foundations, and also steel detailing/checking. His major experience includes working in the Mesa Associates, Inc., as a Senior Structural Engineer; and EDS, Inc. as a Senior Engineer & Vice-President. He was involved in the analysis and design of structures, checking shop drawings and erection plans. He also developed Auto-LISP program for Auto-CAD for steel detailing. Currently, he is affiliated with local Universities. He teaches Structural Steel Design – ASD and LRFD Method, Reinforced Concrete Design, and Foundation Engineering, etc. He developed a FEM code for the National Science Foundation's (NSF) research project at Vanderbilt University and also developed a scheme for experimental and analytical study of partially pre-stressed composite bridge-deck systems. He has published several research papers in Referred Journals and co-authored a Book. His affiliations include AISC, NISD, ASCE, ASME and BIE.
